Before I started creating the About Page for my website I review similar e-commerce companies to mine to check what kind of approach they had when they create their sites. Looking at the two sites which I use to get inspiration we can see the similarity between them. Both of the tell the story about how they begin and how they fell in love with the work which they currently do.
On the first page, Ben Simpson Furniture company creates and designs handmade wooden furniture. On the about page they tell the story of the company begins, the passion for the work which they are doing growing, and how they grow as a business (Ben Simpson Furniture, 2022).
The second site Southampton Wood Recycling Project is a company that reuses gaff-rigged boats for handmade wooden shelve. The company had a good idea for a project which the running and they tell the story of where all of that started and what obstacles they go thru to get where they are now (Southampton Wood Recycling Project, 2022).
On my website, I decided to separate the about page into two sections. The first section will provide a quick description of what caused the owner decided to proceed with the business idea which leads to the point that No.33 is operating today. The second section will provide the main goal of the company, the leitmotif which they try to feed to each product they make which is "Quality".
