Every software, application, or simple website needs a plan or step to follow during the designing process. Software Developments Lifecycle (SDLC) is a process of creating and designing applications created for organizations to follow. The main purpose of SDLC is to create a process that will allow producing the software with the highest quality at the lowest cost and shortest time possible (Tutorialspoint, 2022).
Planning - This is the most crucial stage of SDLC. Involve senior team, customer, and key departments which determine the basic project plan used for product feasibility and future behavior in economical, operational, and technical areas (Tutorialspoint, 2022).
Defining - The next step is to define the product requirement which is reviewed and proved by the customer which is done through the SRS (Software Requirement Specification). SRS document includes all the product requirements for software design and development over the project life cycle (Tutorialspoint, 2022).
Designing - In this stage design approaches are clearly defined for software, all of the architectural modules, like wireframes, layout, or components (Tutorialspoint, 2022).
Building - In this stage, actual development is started, which is the longest process in the SDLC cycle where developers create the software from the scratch with a specific program language specially chosen depending on the software requirement (Tutorialspoint, 2022).
Testing - After the software is completed is then sent to the QA team for testing. During the test majority of the bugs are defined, and based on the QA information software is corrected (Tutorialspoint, 2022).
Deployment - Soon after the software is checked and all of the necessary corrections are completed the deployment process is start. That process determines the software transition from the company to the customer (Tutorialspoint, 2022).
Software Development Lifecycle was also used in my WIX project to determine and establish the major steps required to complete the project.
